Peter Adams was among the select group of nationally recognized American artists chosen to participate in the traveling exhibition, From Sea to Shining Sea: A Reflection of America. The participating artists traveled together to create a body of work to represent America at the turn-of-the-twenty-first century. The exhibition was first installed at the Haggin Museum in Stockton, California, in May 2004, and traveled to nine other venues through 2007.
