Artist Tony Peters Joins Roster of Award-Winning Artists
The American Legacy Fine Arts (ALFA) gallery represents 13 artists from across California and the United States who work in contemporary-traditionalist modes. Their newest addition is painter Tony Peters, whose creative inspiration comes from his fascination with historical and contemplative California scenes. With subjects including urban landscapes, diners, building facades, freeways, and views of the Los Angeles River, his paintings strike a careful balance between humor and nostalgia and offer a perfectionist’s attention to light, shadow, color, composition, and detail.
Since graduating from the Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, Peters has developed his career by participating in more than 20 gallery shows, appearing in national magazines, and obtaining numerous private commissions. Still, his first love remains the urban landscape of Southern California, where the artist finds and shares unique narratives spawned by the character and energy of the city.
