Arroyo Chop House in partnership with American Legacy Fine Arts (ALFA) presents an exclusive collection of new plein air pastels by American artist Peter Adams, titled Luminous Paintings, on view from June 2 to September 22. Adams’ paintings are recognized for their intensity of color, distinct painterly style and underlying sense of optimism. In conjunction with his exhibition, Peter Adams will present a private talk on August 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Arroyo Chop House in Pasadena. RSVP at 626.577.7463 (seating is limited).
We thought we’d share some humbling news with you. Our gallery director, Elaine Adams, and her husband/artist, Peter Adams, were recently honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for their contributions to the art world at the Third Annual Plein Air Convention. Elaine also gave a presentation titled “Making Art History: What Makes an Artist Historically Relevant,” which was well-received by the more than 700 attendees.
Daniel W. Pinkham receives Gold Medal, Best of Show “Red Smith” Award at the Western Visions, Wild 100 Exhibition for Still Waters at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
