Description
This trompe l'oeil floral portrait is an elegant play on the classic Asian blue and white theme. The soft white camellias arranged in a blue ceramic vase convey contemplation within its golden marble niche. Surrounding the niche is a flourish of free-form sgraffito over 22-karat gold that contrasts with the painting's sense of inward peace.
