"Following a trail through the snow, I looked upward and was struck by the contrast of the white bark of this old tree and the young fresh group cropping up beside it. I could see symbolism in this. The beauty and grace in that old white tree, its shape, and the fact that its stripped down to its essence. The witness of time, and life lived!"
