Adam Matano
Biography
Adam Matano is a professional artist and educator specializing in figurative sculpture. He studied at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Connecticut, receiving a BFA in sculpture. Although his main training was in the human figure, he has always had a special love for animals, which inspired him to apply his knowledge of the human figure to sculpting the animal form. Matano's work has most recently been shown at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles. Currently, he works and lives in Los Angeles, exhibiting his sculptures and teaching both figurative and animal sculpture. Matano is a Signature Member of the Society of Animal Artists, an Elected Member of the National Sculpture Society, and a Signature Artist Member of the California Art Club.
