Artist Statement
“On a gray and overcast day last January, I found this peaceful spot to paint the remains of the winter snow along the Truckee River. Relatively warm weather had melted much of the snow pack, allowing me to paint areas that are normally buried under feet of snow at that time of year. With the willows getting their first blush of color and the open water burbling past, it was a perfect spot to spend the morning.”
