Artist Statement
“This one was painted around the premises of American Legacy Fine Arts gallery. I am keen on painting sculptures and that was my first time trying to imitate alabaster. Even though I started this piece en plein air around these very walls, the subject has quickly taken me to the romantic medieval times straight from 19th-century literature. I thought of palaces and castle gardens, and that’s why I titled the painting like this once it was completed.”
