Description
Reminiscent of Roger E. Kuntz's geometric paintings of the Los Angeles Freeways created between 1961 and 1963, Tony Peters adds nature to the dialogue and submits a softer composition. Fascinated with Southern California’s contemporary urban culture and its current emphasis on preserving the natural environment, Peters’ "Pedestrian Walkway, PCH" harmonizes the concrete curvilinear and geometric shapes with nature's geometry as portrayed in the lines of swaying palm trees and the Pacific Ocean’s distant horizon.
