Description
Prior's aerial perspective in this plein air painting of "Buchanan Street View" is masterfully handled. With loose, spontaneous brushwork, the artist successfully interprets outdoor atmosphere and the sensation of speeding down a steep San Francisco street incline. At the base, we are presented with a view of San Francisco Bay with Alcatraz Island in the far distance.
