Artist Statement
"This work was originally painted in 2012. The painting is basically the same but I did change a few things that please me. I raised the height of the large oak on the left. Previously, the background hills ran all the way to the left and above the oak. The wash is still there, but I added a little water and an embankment which was not there before. More color was added to the foliage in the background and the trees and shrubs at the very top of the bluffs were not there until I made changes in 2019. I like the painting better now and that is what really matters to me. I personally hand crafted and gilded the frame."
