ArtistStatement
"I created this painting in Utah during the Maynard Dixon Days event in 2012. This is the moment of discovery painted on location. I did a large studio version later because I loved this one so much. This area is near Cedar Breaks and is called 'Duck Creek.' One of my all-time favorite locations for visual poetry. It’s beautiful year around and offers an artist so much. This particular painting brings me to a place of quiet joy. Sensing and exposing, even in THIS quiet of a moment, a Devine existence and presence in the beautiful aesthetics of a brief moment of reflection."
