Artist Statement
“The famed King Gillette Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains, location of numerous television and film productions, has been a personal favorite painting site of mine since discovering it on an area-scouting drive with my wife while looking for a picnic site. From the ranch entrance, looking southwest toward the main entry of the Malibu Creek State Park, the vista features a backdrop of a mountain ridgeline framed by a fine selection of eucalyptus trees. Always a delight to visit, more so to paint!”
