Artist Statement
“There’s nothing I love better than going on a painting trip with like-minded artists and my dog as company. I’ve made the trek to the Rock Lakes area of the eastern Sierra twice now, and it’s an absolute paradise for painting. I found this perfect scene as I was exploring around one of the many lakes in the area. My dog, Ellie, slept in the shade while I painted and was rewarded with a swim in the crystal clear water when I was done.”
