Artist Statement:

"In the early 90s, I traveled to Mongolia to photograph scenes of Mongolian women milking their cows for my paintings. In the prairie of Chinese Mongolia, there is a family that lives on raising and milking their cows. One morning, I saw a woman having just finished milking a cow with the sunrise behind her. She was wearing a red gown and the color contrasted with the dark cow in the background. It was so beautiful and gave me a huge burst of inspiration, which lead me to create this meaningful piece." - Jove Wang
