Artist Statement

"The Chumash were the earliest settlers of the Ojai Valley, which is uniquely cradled by east/west mountain ranges.  Many locals will tell you that Ojai means "nest" in the Chumash language, however, experts say it means "moon".  Either way, "Moon's Nest" illustrates the "nesting of the moon" atop the Topa Topa Mountains during its slow ascent into the sky.”
