Artist Statement
“Painted late one day after hiking up into the Comstock hills outside my home in Silver City, Nevada, to catch the low rays warming the rock planes facing the sun. I couldn’t resist that handsome looking pinon tree, too—the gray-green made a nice backdrop for the warm colors of the rocks.”
