Artist Statement "Scattered Showers was painted on location on my property in Williamson Valley one fragrant spring afternoon. The view from my barn overlooks miles of rugged, cow country sprinkled with juniper, pinyon and live-oak . The mountain mahogany and cliff rose bloom fresh green while the live oaks turn a fall-like amber in the late afternoon sun. Spring rain bathes distant Juniper Mesa, likely some of the last moisture it will see until the summer monsoon arrives."
