Artist Statement
“I had an opportunity to paint on a private golf course in Los Angeles and was amazed at how removed I felt from the surrounding urban sprawl. I was particularly interested in the design of the course, utilizing the small arroyos and barrancas that existed, and adding the sand bunkers in a natural flow with the land, along with the beautiful groves of trees. This led me to painting this scene, 'South Course Bunkers and Barrancas'."
