Artist Statement
“Spring brought us an abundance of wildflowers this year, turning swaths of the foothills orange with poppies and purple with lupine. The “stay-at-home” order during the early days of the pandemic kept me from plein air painting as often as I would have liked. But, one glorious morning in late April, I slipped out for some socially-distanced painting. The warm sun and bright flowers were just what I needed after days
spent worrying at home.”
