During the daily hustle and bustle at the Original Los Angeles Farmers Market, whose motto is "Meet me at Third and Fairfax," one of the regulars relaxes in front of The Barber Shop Club to play a solitary game of chess. Founded in 1934, Farmers Market continues to attract Hollywood celebrities and tourists. Prior's painting portrays a sense of modern Americana.
