Artist Statement
“Painting still-life allows me the time to savor with paint and brush my surroundings. Onion and garlic, albeit humble ‘objects’ offer appealing design and color arrangements. “When Moses led the Hebrews out of Egypt they complained of missing ‘the finer things in life’ - fresh melons, cucumbers, leeks, garlic and onions.” My intention was to make the ordinary important.”
